Growing up, comic books were an important source of entertainment and escape for me. While everyone may have a few favorite superheroes, I admittedly, always had a bit of a soft spot for a good old-fashioned villain. One of my favorites being, Wilson Fisk…aka “The Kingpin”, the criminal overlord of New York City and a thorn in the side of Spiderman, Daredevil and many other Marvel heroes.
Since his first introduction in July of 1967 (The Amazing Spiderman #50), “The Kingpin” has undergone several manifestations and interpretations, all connected by his distinct smooth dome and a particular sense of style. This series of portraits is my homage to Mr. Fisk, one of the greatest comic book villains of all time.
