“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands, his head and his heart is an artist.”
– Saint Francis of Assisi
St. Francis’ words of wisdom remind us all that we are on a journey of refinement. It is not a hierarchy that he presents, but rather a path of progression. In life I have been blessed to have a variety of roles and interests and my progression on St. Francis’ scale in each is at variable points.
My lens-based work focuses on telling visual stories in a variety of ways. I strive to not only capture moments, but through perspective, processing, and arrangement, bring my viewer into that moment itself as I have experienced it.
I am currently engaged in the field of education while also pursuing my Master of Fine Arts in Photography with the Savanah College of Art & Design.
